In my work I use photography – factual records of life. But they are only the starting point. True exploration , true game starts when I transfer these images into the graphic techniques aquatint and etching, which provide a new quality and a new frame for these images, free of unnecessary details and complexity, leaving the space for change, new memory and new state of mind.
Whatever we want to explain, be it biological, or sociological, or perhaps psychological, it is inevitable that we start from childhood, in fact, we go back to the childhood. In the cycle of life, in this space in which many are trying to survive, to get by, to be happy, the starting point and the end point are reflected in a single word – childhood. Curiosity and playing are what make us human. We learned that and engaged in it when we were little. That is the area of my research. I want to remember the child within me, but also in others. A great writer said: „Children are the only angels that walk the earth.“ Maybe this is utopian or escapist approach, but it is definitly a game that goes on.
